So many outsiders

Filed under: Mishaps/tests/U name it — Reb Moshe @ 4:11 am

I have been thinking about all those people debating if they should order seats to their local Synagogue and community or prayer elsewhere. So many people tell me that they feel they are outsiders and not really apart of their communities in a strong way. Why are so many people like this who feel they have no Rabbi or true place inside the holy walls of our Synaggoes?

  1. The simplest form of Ahavas Yisroel is a smile. people need to smile more, even if the economy is bad and there are hard things on the mind. Because just like a bad mood spreads from person to person, so do smiles.

  2. way to hit the nail on the head!

    i’m still entertaining ideas of:
    1) spending rosh hashanah at the kotel
    2) in a little local (amcha) sepharadi minyan
    3) in nachlaot @ an intensely spiritual minyan
    4) with the mekubalim who daven according to the Rashash
    5) anywhere but the norm. (olmert actually davens at our shul on yom kippur…which I have no idea how to react to that)

  4. You know what, tell him, we forgive him for all the stupid things he did in office to hurt the Jewish people. A jew must always be forgiving.
