Uman, here I come

Filed under: deep reflections — Reb Moshe @ 11:34 pm

Well while some are leaving tomarrow to Uman already, I am checking out on Thursday afternoon. I should be arriving in the middle of the night, 3am friday morning in uman. This will be my 7th Rosh Hashanah in Uman. The first time I went was about 12 years ago when there was only 2,000 people and now there will be 30,000.

I will be meeting a young man from Ukraine who will be joining me for his first Shabbos ever. I am very excited to meet him. As mentioned in a previous blog, I could use donations for his sleeping quarters there in Uman. A bed costs $200-$300 this year.

The travel agent said that there are no longer any tickets available in Israel so now people will try to buy them for more money from those already going.
